I have worked as a cognitive behavioural therapist since qualifying with a post- graduate diploma in Cognitive Therapy in 2004 from Salford Cognitive Therapy Training Centre. I am a qualified and registered social worker and maintain my registration with the HCPC. My professional and therapeutic experience covers drug and alcohol services, child and adolescent mental health, and adult secondary care and looked after children’s services. For the past five years I have worked in the private sector as a senior practitioner and more recently Deputy Head of Therapy for Meadows Care Ltd in Rochdale. I also continue to work within the NHS as a Supervising Clinical Tutor on the CYPS IAPT programme.

I have experience of working with children, young people and adults with a range of emotional difficulties including depression, OCD, PTSD, social anxiety, specific phobia’s, health anxiety, abuse, psychosis, bi-polar disorder and self- harm using CBT. I have completed EMDR parts 1,2 and 3 and use this approach regularly when working with trauma.

I have worked in private practice for over ten years. I accept self-referrals and I am registered with a number of health insurance companies including Bupa, Axa, Aviva and WPA. I also provide therapy for a number of medico-legal companies.

I am BABCP accredited and HCPC Registered.
